Battery Cleaning
Keeping the battery top clean and dry reduces the need for service and extends battery life. Be sure the battery cable clamps are tightly fastened to the battery terminals. If corrosion is found, disconnect the battery cables. Clean the battery cable clamps and battery terminals with a wire brush. Neutralize the corrosion with a solution of baking soda and water. After installing the battery cables. apply a small quantity of Multi-Purpose Long-Life Grease XG-1-K. XG-1-C or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M 1075-B to the battery terminals to help prevent corrosion.
