Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair

Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.







3. Remove the radiator splash shield.







4. Remove the line connection from the compressor.

NOTE: Seal the line and the connection with plugs.







5. Remove the upper line from the air conditioning condenser.

NOTE: Seal the line and the connection with plugs.

6. Lower the vehicle.







7. Use the special tool, disconnect the line from the suction accumulator to the A/C compressor.

NOTE: Seal the line and the connection with plugs.







8. Remove the bolt from the bracket and remove the manifold and tube assembly.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Renew all the O-rings and coat with refrigerant oil.












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check A/C system for normal operation.
