Power Door Lock Actuator: Service and Repair
DOOR LOCK ACTUATORRemoval and Installation
1. NOTE: Passenger side shown, driver side similar.
Position the window in the full up position.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Position the watershield aside.
4. If equipped, disconnect the lock cylinder actuating rod from the lock cylinder.
5. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.
6. Remove the 3 front door latch screws.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
7. Position the front door latch.
8. Disconnect the door lock actuator electrical connector.
9. Disconnect the door ajar switch electrical connector.
10. Remove the front door latch.
11. Remove the door ajar switch.
12. Remove the front door actuator.
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the front door latch after installation.
