Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

MEASUREMENT
Disconnect the pickup coil connector. Measure the resistance between terminals 2 and 3 with a a digital multimeter. Then Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 3 (Figure 1). If the resistance of either measurement is not 140 to 180 ohms, replace the distributor.
