Accord Security System Troubleshooting
Locate the appropriate system problem, then perform each step as specified.
Before troubleshooting:
^ Check that grounds are clean and tight.
^ Turn the ignition switch to START, then to the OFF position.
^ Read the security system owner's manual thoroughly.
^ If the control unit is replaced, the remote control must also be replaced with one that has a matching serial number.
^ Reset the system by removing, then reinstalling the SECURITY fuse (5A) in the security system harness, near the left kick panel. Replace the fuse if necessary.
^ The remote control's replacement battery is CR2025.
View From Main Connector and Sensor Connector
Very Short Remote Range and Parking Light Does Not Flash
Alarm Not Activated When Trunk is Open Or When Glass is Broken
Horn Does Not Sound
Entire System Not Working (Auto and Manual Modes) or Alarm Not Activated When Door(s) Open.
Remote Control Does Not Work or Starter Cut Function Does Not Work.
Door Lock/Unlock Feature Not Working/Led Not Flashing
False Alarm
