Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
3. Remove the dipstick, then remove the upper cover.

NOTE: Do not use the upper cover to store removed items.

4. Remove the idler pulley bracket and dipstick pipe.
5. Remove the lower cover.

NOTE: Do not use the lower cover to store removed items.

6. Disconnect the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor connector, then remove the CKF sensor.
7. Install the CKF sensor in the reverse order of removal.
