Cruise Control Servo: Adjustments
1. Check that the actuator cable operates smoothly with no binding or sticking.2. Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm with no load (A/T in [N] or [P], M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
Actuator Cable Adjustment:
3. Measure the amount of movement of the actuator rod until the cable pulls on the accelerator lever (engine speed starts to increase). Free play should be 11 ± 1.0 mm (0.43 ± 0.04 in).
4. If free play is not within specs, loosen the locknut, and turn the adjusting nut as required.
NOTE: If necessary, check the throttle cable free play, then recheck the actuator rod free play.
5. Retighten the locknut, and recheck the free play.
