DESCRIPTION:

The 2002 Santa Fe V6 ECM has been changed, effective February 4, 2002 production, to implement the following:

^ Reduce start-up noise from the A/C compressor, usually noticed immediately after the engine is started.

^ Increase engine idle speed under certain conditions to compensate for electrical load.





NOTE
For vehicles produced before February 4, 2002, TSB 02-36-015-1 (2001-2002 SANTA FE 2.7L V6 BATTERY DRAIN AND A/C COMPRESSOR START-UP NOISE) provides information describing how to reprogram the ECM to address the above two conditions.
