Condition # 2

Symptom: Intermittent "Check Engine" light, Code 15 set in ECU, A/C relay turns off, low idle speed. When the ignition switch is cycled off, and then on, the "Check Engine" light goes out and the A/C and idle speed control return.

Cause: Interminent electrical condition which signals incorrect information to the ECU.

Diagnosis: It may not be possible to verify the customers complaint, but if it matches the conditions described above, and the ISC servo checks out properly, perform the following correction.


Correction: Follow the three steps listed below.
# 1. Reset the base idle and TPS.
# 2. Solder the Control Harness Sensor ground and power splices.
# 3. Clean the TPS, MPS and ISC connector terminals and the Idle Switch.
