^ see the "TCM Reprogramming" attachment shown in this this bulletin.

^ If you do know how to do TCM Reprogramming;

A) From the ASIST TCM Reprogramming area, pick the model and model year for the car you are working on (see Figure 1).

B) Pick the right type of vehicle from the list just above the word "Summary".

^ If there is only one item listed ("Update for all Models"), go to step C.

^ If there is multiple choice, pick the right type of vehicle from the list, then go to step C.

C) Write down the "To" number shown in the Summary box of ASIST.

NOTE:
The "To" number will read something like: 31036-*****. See "TCM Part Numbers" shown.

D) Click the "Continue" button on the TCM Data Reprogramming and follow directions to perform data download from ASIST to CONSULT-II.

2. Perform TCM Reprogramming from CONSULT-II to update the vehicle's TCM data (to the new Part Number).

3. When TCM Reprogramming is done, make sure you perform TCM Initialization (step 4, pages 11-15 of the complete "TCM Reprogramming For Infiniti Vehicles" general procedure).

IMPORTANT:
^ TCM Initialization MUST BE DONE or the repair will not work.

^ The vehicle must be test driven after Initialization to verify the repair.

^ If "rough shift" or other like symptoms occur, Initialization did not take place and must be redone.

4. When TCM Initialization is done, go to the Repair Flow Chart box titled: "Find out the vehicle's ECM part number (P/N)".
