3. IN P POSITION, VEHICLE MOVES WHEN PUSHED

SYMPTOM
Even though the shift lever is set in the "P" position, the parking mechanism is not actuated, allowing the vehicle to be moved when it is pushed.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK PNP SW CIRCUIT
With CONSULT-II
Does "TCM INPUT SIGNALS" in "DATA MONITOR" show damage to PNP switch circuit?
No Tools
Does self-diagnosis show damage to PNP switch circuit?
Yes or No
Yes >> Check PNP switch circuit.
No >>GO TO 2.
2. CHECK CONTROL CABLE
Check the control cable.
Refer to "Adjustment of A/T Positions".
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >>
- Adjust control cable. to "Adjustment of A/T Positions".
- Replace the transmission assembly.
3. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >>GO TO 4.
4. CHECK TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG?
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >>
1. Repair or replace damaged parts.
2. Replace the transmission assembly.
