SERVICE INFORMATION

With the 2002 Q45 software upgrade described here, the Navigation System can now use "compressed data" for the first time.

This new 2-disc upgrade package includes:

^ software upgrade CD-ROM (Program CD-ROM)

^ new Red map DVD (map DVD-ROM)

^ upgrade instructions

NOTES:
^ This package is available now and can be ordered from Zenrin by calling (800) 777-0325.

^ The part number is 25920 CR920.

^ The price is $185

^ This is a customer-pay upgrade.

IMPORTANT:
Once the software upgrade has been performed, installation of the previous (White) map disc may cause certain functions of the Navigation System to not work properly.

NAVIGATION SOFTWARE UPGRADE LOADING PROCEDURE

1. Start the engine.

2. Open the cover of the Navigation Control unit and press the Eject button to remove the map DVD-ROM.

3. Insert the program CD-ROM, with the label side UP, into the slot on the unit.

NOTES:
^ The download should take about 3 minutes.

^ Do not turn the ignition off during loading.

^ Do not remove the program CD-ROM during loading.

^ During loading, the picture on the monitor may disappear for a moment - this is normal.

4. When the message "Program Loading Completed" appears, the program CD-ROM will be automatically ejected.

5. You may then remove the program CD-ROM.

6. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.

7. Wait 10 seconds.

8. Re-insert the key into the ignition and start the engine.

9. Insert the new map DVD-ROM update, with the label side UP, into the slot on the Navigation Control unit.

10. Press the MAP button to display the System Start-Up screen.

11. Select "I Agree" when prompted.
