Radio Removing Tool T87P-19061-A
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Install Radio Removing Tool T87P-19061-A into radio face plate. Push tools in approximately 38 mm (1.5 inch) to release retaining clips.
CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when installing Radio Removing Tool. This will damage retaining clips, making radio chassis removal difficult.
3. Apply a slight spreading force on tools and pull the front control unit from instrument panel.
4. Disconnect wiring connectors and remove the front control unit from the vehicle.
5. Remove three screws retaining the bottom of the instrument panel steering column cover to the instrument panel.
6. Pull on instrument panel steering column cover to unsnap the four clips across the top of the instrument panel steering column cover.
7. Disconnect traction control switch wire harness connector (if equipped) and remove instrument panel steering column cover.
8. Remove two screws retaining side of instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel.
9. Pull instrument panel finish panel to release two clips to right of EATC control assembly, disconnect rear window defroster switch wire connector, and remove instrument panel finish panel from vehicle.
10. Remove four screws retaining EATC module and pull the module out of the instrument panel.
11. Remove two harness connectors from EATC module assembly.
12. Remove nuts retaining vacuum hose harness to EATC module. Remove EATC module from instrument panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect two electrical harness connectors to EATC control assembly.
2. Attach vacuum hose harness to EATC module. Secure harness by tightening two nuts.
3. Position EATC module into instrument panel and secure with four screws.
4. Connect rear window defroster switch wire connector and install instrument panel finish panel with two retaining screws to instrument panel.
5. Connect traction control switch wire connector (if equipped) and install instrument panel steering column cover to instrument panel. Secure with three retaining screws. Tighten screws to 2.0-2.9 N.m (18-25 lb-in).
6. Connect front control unit wiring connectors and install front control unit into instrument panel.
7. Connect battery ground cable and check system operation.
