Telescoping Wheel Motor: Service and Repair

Removal

1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the steering column removal and installation procedure.

Remove the steering column.





2. Place the steering column in a vise.





3. Remove the screws and the electronic steering sensor.





4. NOTE: Do not disconnect the steering column release motor harness electrical connectors from the steering column release motor assemblies.

Remove the screws and the steering column release motor assemblies.

Installation





1. Install the steering column release motor and screws.





2. Install the electronic steering sensor and screws.

3. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the steering column procedure.

Install the steering column.
