Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

WIPER MOUNTING ARM AND PIVOT SHAFT

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery.







2. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms.
- Remove the nuts (one each side).

3. Remove the cowl top vent panels.







4. Position the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly aside.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the bolt.







5. Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

INSTALLATION







1. Position the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
- Connect the electrical connector.







2. Install the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly nuts and bolts.
3. Install the cowl top vent panels.







4. Position the RH windshield wiper blade in the center of the alignment mark on the windshield glass.







5. Position the LH windshield wiper blade in the center of the alignment mark on the windshield glass.







6. Install the RH and LH windshield wiper pivot arm nuts.
7. Connect the battery.
8. Check the wiper pivot arm adjustment.
