Pulsair Valve: Testing and Inspection

Exc. Reed Valve Mounted On Right Suspension Tower (Turbo)

Test air control valve before testing reed valve.
1. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at air control valve.
3. Attach suitable vacuum pump to air control valve and apply a vacuum of 19.7 inches Hg.
4. Ensure air is sucked into air passage.
5. Increase engine speed to 2500 RPM and ensure exhaust gas is not emitted from passage.
6. Replace reed valve as necessary.

Reed Valve Mounted On Right Suspension Tower (Turbo)

1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Increase engine speed to 2500 RPM and ensure air is sucked into air passage. Clean reed valve components as necessary, then replace reed valve, if necessary.
3. With engine speed at 2500 RPM, ensure exhaust gas is not emitted. Replace reed valve as necessary.
