Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Intake Air System R&R:

COMPONENTS
1. Strut bar.
2. Fresh air duct.
3. Air cleaner housing.
4. Resonance duct.
5. Volume airflow sensor.
6. Air intake hose.
7. Accelerator cable.
8. Throttle body.
9. Spacer.
10. By-pass air control (BAC) valve.
11. Intake manifold.
12. Air intake pipe.

REPLACEMENT
1. Before disconnecting water hoses from BAC valve, drain coolant to below level of intake manifold.
2. Disconnect throttle cable, throttle sensor electrical connector, BAC valve electrical connector and water hoses.
3. Remove intake air hose from throttle body.
4. Remove throttle body and BAC valve from intake manifold as an assembly.

Throttle Body And "BAC" Valve:

5. Remove BAC valve from throttle body.
6. Install in reverse order.

INSTALLATION NOTE:
Always use new gaskets.
