Clock: Testing and Inspection

CLOCK SWITCH INSPECTION

NOTE:
- The clock switch is integrated with the hazard warning switch.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Upper column cover Service and Repair

b. Instrument cluster Removal and Replacement

c. Switch panel Service and Repair

d. Clock switch Service and Repair

3. Verify the resistance between the clock switch terminals.






- If not within the specification, replace the clock switch.





4. Apply battery positive voltage to clock switch terminal A, and connect terminal F to ground.

5. Verify that the LED illuminates.

- If the LED does illuminate, replace the clock switch.
