CLAIM INFORMATION
Dear Nissan Altima Owner:
Our records indicate that you are the owner of a 1995 Nissan Altima that has the incorrect color code printed on the FMVSS vehicle certification label. The correct color code for your vehicle is "KN8", while the label states it is "KN6". This could lead to some confusion or paint mismatch should your Altima ever require a repair that involves repainting.
Enclosed is a supplemental label for your car that should be placed directly above the existing certification label. The certification label is located on the front door sill of the drivers door (See illustration). Make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying the new label. DO NOT remove the existing FMVSS certification label.
If you prefer, you can make an appointment with your Nissan dealer to have this label installed at no cost to you. Be sure that you bring this mailer and label with you when you go to your dealer.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
