APPLIED VIN(S): Vehicles built before: 3N1BC13E(*)7L360230

APPLIED DATE: Vehicles built before: July 17, 2006

IF YOU CONFIRM

The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) light:

^ Flashes for the first 60 seconds after starting the vehicle and then stays on.

AND

^ There are one or more of the following codes stored in Body Control Module (BCM) Self-Diagnosis:

^ [CHECKSUM-ERR] FL 31 (DTC C1712).
^ [CHECKSUM-ERR] FR 32 (DTC C1713).
^ [CHECKSUM-ERR] RR 33 (DTC C1714).
^ [CHECKSUM-ERR] RL 34 (DTC C1715).

ACTIONS

^ Replace BCM with the correct replacement part.

^ Using CONSULT-II configure BCM to vehicle.

^ Re-program ALL keys to the vehicle.

^ Re-program ALL key fobs to the vehicle.

The purpose of "ACTION" (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Print out from CONSULT-II the error code(s) and BCM part number.

2. See if the CONSULT-II BCM Part Number from the vehicle matches the one listed in the CONSULT-II P/N column of the Parts Information table.

^ If it does, replace the BCM with the matching P/N from the ORDER REPLACEMENT PIN column of the Parts Information table.

^ If the CONSULT-II BCM Part Number from the vehicle DOES NOT match the P/N listed in the CONSULT-II P/N column of the Parts Information table or this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for further diagnostic assistance.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding table.

IMPORTANT:
Dealer must submit CONSULT-II print out showing codes and part numbers. Warranty claims submitted without CONSULT-II printout for original BCM part number and the indicated DTC may be suspended or denied.
