Ignition Coil: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
To create spark, including waste spark and to ignite the air/fuel mixture.

OPERATION
Three separate coils are mounted to the module assembly.
Waste spark distribution; each coil provides the spark for two plugs simultaneously, one firing at the end of the compression stroke and the other on the opposite cylinders exhaust stroke. Each coil can also be replaced separately.
