Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser Mounting:

Tool Required:
^ J 39500 R-134a Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling, and Recharging (ACR4) System

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant. Refer to Recovery.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Radiator assembly.
5. Condenser from radiator.

Install or Connect

1. Condenser to radiator.

Tighten

^ Bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Radiator assembly to vehicle.
3. Refill cooling system.
4. Recharge A/C system. Refer to Evacuation.
5. Negative battery cable.

Tighten

^ Bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
