REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Removal Procedure:

1. Remove the wiper arm assemblies from the vehicle.
2. Remove the air inlet screen assembly from the vehicle.
3. Remove the connector from the wiper motor assembly.
4. Remove the wiper transmission assembly from wiper motor crank arm assembly using the J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator.

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Removal Procedure:

5. Remove three screws and the wiper drive system module from the vehicle.

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Removal Procedure:

6. Remove three screws and the pulse circuit board and the cover assembly from the wiper motor assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Installation Procedure:

1. Install the pulse circuit board and cover assembly on the wiper motor assembly with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Installation Procedure:

2. Install the wiper drive system module on the vehicle with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten screws to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

Wiper Motor Cover Replacement: Installation Procedure:

3. Install the wiper transmission assembly on the wiper motor crank arm assembly using the J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer.
4. Install the connector to the wiper motor assembly.
5. Install the air inlet screen assembly on the vehicle.
6. Install the wiper arm assemblies on the vehicle.
7. Operate the wipers and check for proper operation.
