Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDUREIMPORTANT: The door window regulator motor and window regulator are serviced as a unit.
1. Raise the door window to 2.54 mm (1.0 in). from the full closed position and apply tape to support it.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Remove the front door water deflector.
4. Disconnect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
5. Remove the window regulator to door bolts (1,2,3,4).
6. Remove the window regulator motor to door bolts.
7. Remove the window regulator and window regulator motor from the door.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the window regulator and window regulator motor to the door.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the window regulator to door bolts in the following sequence.
2.1. Lower rear(1)
2.2. Upper rear (2)
2.3. Lower front (3)
2.4. Upper front (4)
Tighten
Tighten the window regulator to door bolts in the same sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Install the window regulator motor to door mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the window regulator motor to door bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Connect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
5. Remove the tape from the front door window and lower the window onto the window regulator carrier plate.
6. Install the window to regulator bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
7. Install the front door water deflector.
8. Install the front door trim panel.
