Heater Control Valve: Description and Operation

The heater by pass valve is located near the firewall and is in-line with the heater hoses. The by pass valve controls the water flow to the heater core. It is normally open (no vacuum applied) and is closed when vacuum is applied by the grey vacuum hose.
