1985-87 FIREBIRD MODELS WITH A 60 DEGREE V-6 2.8L MPFI ENGINE (VIN CODE S)
Some 1985-87 Firebird models with a VIN Code S engine may exhibit an engine starting difficulty and/or reduced acceleration condition. These symptoms may be due to a damaged catalytic converter. If the converter is found to be damaged, other engine components may be the cause of the converter damage. Therefore, it is recommended that spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil or other related ignition components be inspected for proper function before returning the vehicle to the owner.
