Rear Compartment Lid Release

Pressing the rear compartment button on the keyless entry transmitter causes the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) to ground CKT 253. This action energizes the rear compartment lid release relay, thus applying voltage in CKT 275. The rear compartment lid lock release actuator energizes, releasing the rear compartment lid.

If the transaxle is shifted out of PARK, the voltage supply to the rear compartment lid release relay is interrupted. This action disables the rear compartment lid release feature.
