Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Note the position of the [1][2]EVAP hoses for installation.
3. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector and hoses.
4. Remove the bolt from the valve mounting bracket.
5. Remove the EVAP vent valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the EVAP canister purge valve on the manifold.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt and secure the EVAP canister purge valve.

Tighten
Tighten the purge valve retaining bolt to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

3. Connect the purge valve electrical connector and hoses.
