Subject: Accessory Speed Control
Installation
Application: 900 Models, 1991-1/2 -
As a running change during 1991 900 model production, the three 29-pin electrical connectors have been replaced by three 33-pin connectors (see PSI 03/91-0094). The new connectors offer improved pin connections and the ability to lock the two sides of the connector housing together. The change to the new style connectors also affects the installation of the accessory speed control kit, P/N 02 44 681, in these models.
Four (4) male spade connectors, P/N 41 15 457, and an instruction sheet have been added to all accessory speed control kits in Saab's spare parts stock. This will enable the speed control kit to be modified for installation in models with the new 33-pin connectors.
For any kits in a dealer's parts inventory that do not contain the necessary pin connectors and installation sheet, see the procedure below if the kit is to be installed on cars with the upgraded connectors.
