The wiper assembly is an integral unit mounted on the bulkhead in the engine compartment. Two rectangular openings in the bulkhead accommodate the wiper spindles. These openings are sealed with rubber grommets. Power from the motor is transferred to the spindles by means of a cable and linkage. The wiper arms are fitted in splines and retained by means of a nut, Fig. 4. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR for wiper transmission replacement procedure.
