Each Subaru Dealer will receive with this bulletin 2 units of the replacement (yellow cap color) transmission case dipstick P/N 32024KA000 for use as special tools for Phase I action.

Transmission oil (GL-4 or GL-5) should be obtained locally.

Additional quantities of P/N 32024KA000 will be available through your normal parts supply after April 10, 1989. These should be ordered for recently sold and instock/demo vehicles.

Please keep in mind that each affected vehicle owner will receive a replacement (yellow cap color) 4WD transmission case dipstick; consequently, additional replacement requirements should be minimal.
