Brake Pad: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Hoist vehicle and remove wheel.
2. Remove caliper pin bolts.
3. Remove caliper from caliper carrier.
NOTE:
^ Hang removed caliper with a wire hook or the like so as to prevent brake hose from bending and twisting excessively or being pulled.
^ Don't operate brake pedal with pads removed.
4. Remove pads.
INSTALLATION
1. Install pad clips and pads.
2. Install caliper and torque caliper pin bolts (a): 22 - 32 Nm (16.0 - 23.0 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: Make sure that boots are fit into groove securely.
3. Torque front wheel nuts (b): 50 - 80 Nm (36.5 - 57.5 ft. lbs.).
4. Upon completion of installation, perform brake test. Testing and Inspection
