Idle Speed

Fig. 414 IDLE SPEED AND FUEL AMOUNT SCREW LOCATION:

1. Connect a photoelectric RPM-meter (or use VOLVO MONOTESTER and adapter #9950)
2. Warm up engine and idle additional five minutes after thermostat has opened
3. Turn off air conditioner
4. Adjust idle speed with idle screw Fig. 414. to 750 ± 50 RPM
5. Seal idle screw and lock nut with paint after adjustment
