THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA


A new type of steering column incorporating a torque-limiting device to protect the steering wheel lock is now standard on all 1986 models.

Described in this bulletin are the procedures for install ing a new steering column in place of an earlier type and the procedures for repairing a damaged new-type column.

NOTE: The new steering column can only be installed in vehicles manufactured from 1981 onwards.
