Wheel alignment specifications
Please note that the Caster and Camber data in the Specifications Service Manual should be as follows:
Caster ........ +4.5~ - +5.5~
Camber ........ -0.2~ - +0.8~
NOTE: Maximum variation between right and left-hand sides = 0.7~.
Caster can be adjusted by installing a new control arm strut. The shorter strut P/N 1387066-2 reduces Caster by 0.8~. The longer strut, P/N 1387067-0, increases Caster by 0.8~.
Description Part No. Length (A):
Strut, standard 1359899-0 390.5 mm
short 1387066-2 385.0 mm
long 1387067-0 396.0 mm
All new struts are 5.5 mm longer than previous versions. The new struts provide a larger Caster angle which means that it is easier to return the steering wheel to the straight ahead position after turning a corner.
New standard strut P/N 1359899-0 was brought into production from week 50, 1985.
