Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Testing and Inspection

Ambient Temperature Sensor, A/C

1. Remove glovebox.
2. Remove sensor from the blower housing.
3. Check sensor resistance with an ohmmeter. At room temperature, resistance should be:

30-40 Ohms

4. If resistance exceeds 65-100 Ohms, replace sensor and recheck.

NOTE: Sensor is NTC. Resistance should decrease as temperature increases.
