Fig. 9 Accumulator Pistons:
1. Remove valve body as described under ``Valve Body, Replace.''
2. Remove non-return valve housing with spring.
3. Remove accumulator pistons B2, C2 and B0 with springs as follows:
a. Carefully remove retainer tool, securing accumulator pistons in position.
b. Remove accumulator pistons B2, C2 and B0 with springs, Fig. 9.
c. If accumulator pistons are difficult to remove, apply compressed air to fluid passage to force pistons out.
4. Remove accumulator piston C0 with springs as follows:
a. Carefully remove retainer tool, securing accumulator piston C0 in position.
b. Remove accumulator piston C0 with springs, Fig. 9.
c. If accumulator piston is difficult to remove, apply compressed air to fluid passage to force piston out.
5. Clean and inspect accumulator pistons, non-return valve and all springs. Replace any stiff or worn pistons.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Use new O-rings coated with a small amount of new transmission fluid.
b. Connect Volvo Diagnostic Key to diagnostic output and delete any stored trouble codes. The code 1-1-1 should be displayed when all trouble codes have been deleted.
