1GR-FE CHARGING: GENERATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the generator with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)





(b) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
(c) Install the wire harness clamp to the bracket.
(d) Connect the generator wire with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(e) Install the terminal cap.
(f) Connect the generator connector.





(g) Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the nut.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation
3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER Installation
5. INSTALL BATTERY
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
