Front Seat Back Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Move the seat to the full-up position.
2. Remove the finish trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement (Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement) .




3. Remove the recliner tilt handle screws (2).
Remove the retainers (left front seat, AM6).




4. Position the lower seat cushion cover in order to gain access to the lower recliner bolts (2).




5. Remove the lower recliner bolts (2).
6. Disengage the inner hinge pin and the hinge bolt from the hinge support in order to remove the seat back left front, AM6).
7. Remove the inner and outer pivot bolts.
8. Remove the spacer and the bushing (right front, AM6).
9. Remove the seat back.



Installation Procedure

1. Engage the inner hinge pin and the hinge bolt to the hinge support in order to install the seat back (left front, AM6).
Install the spacer and bushing (right front, AM6).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the inner and outer pivot bolts.

Tighten the inner and outer pivot bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the lower recliner bolts (2).

Tighten the lower recliner bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





4. Position the lower seat cushion cover over the recliner bolts (2).




5. Install the recliner tilt handle screws (2).
Install the retainers (left front, AM6).

Tighten the recliner tilt handle screws (2) to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

6. Install the finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement (Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement) .
7. Place the seat back to the original position.
